Position Summary:

As a member of the enrollment team, the Student Recruitment Associate will play a critical role in creating and managing student recruitment efforts for new enrollment. This position will spend a significant amount of time out in the community talking to parents and local organizations about Romero’s mission. The Associate will help execute the marketing plan and lead student recruitment efforts by engaging with prospective families, executing targeted outreach strategies, and cultivating strong community partnerships. The associate will have the opportunity to support the design of marketing pieces and provide feedback on marketing campaigns.

This position requires a proactive, organized, and energetic individual who is passionate about education and community engagement. The ideal candidate loves connecting with new people and is eager to share our mission with families. This role requires a self-starter who stays motivated and focused on rigorous goals and outcomes. Reporting to the Enrollment Manager, this position is critical to the organization’s mission by ensuring robust and sustained enrollment across the network.

 

Job Description

  • Conduct daily and ongoing outreach to applicants and prospective families via calls, text, and in-person meetings during enrollment season (February - September)
  • Perform outreach duties to increase community awareness of the Schools and their programs
  • Develop and execute grassroots outreach efforts to identify prospective families, including (but not limited to) door-to-door canvassing, tabling events in public places, and visits to high-traffic areas within the area of service
  • Communicate a compelling message regarding our culture and school design
  • Create, update, and deliver robust presentations to prospective families
  • Cultivate and maintain existing partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, daycares, local neighborhood community counsels, local Politicians, Religious leaders
  • Maintain and verify application data in HubSpot (lead cultivation system)
  • Attend recruitment fairs and community events; prepare materials/staffing as needed
  • Share promotional materials to attract new families
  • Assist with strategically planning Network-wide enrollment efforts 
  • Train school based Operations teams, as needed
  • Collaborate with Enrollment Manager to create achievable registration goals 
  • Check-in regularly with Enrollment Manager to progress track, identify best practices, and troubleshoot as needed
  • Track data to adjust enrollment projections as needed
  • Notify families we received their application with a personal email, or letter, and/or phone call; 
  • Process and implement data management projects as needed

The ideal candidate will bring experience, skills, and beliefs in the following areas:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (in marketing, sales, advertising, or related field).
  • Strong project and time management skills; ability to effectively backwards plan, juggle multiple priorities with great attention to detail, and deliver results.
  • Customer service mindset and the ability to proactively solve problems and make quick decisions in service of the school’s mission to support students and families.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, and relationship building skills.
  • Advanced organizational skills, managing assets and processes through the use of digital and paper-based systems.
  • Proficiency with Google Apps and Microsoft Office (especially spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations) and other digital tools to manage data and logistics. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • An ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines.
  • Desire to continuously learn, incorporate feedback, and grow as a professional.
